Todd French - MHS Varsity Golf Head Coach



We are excited to announce Todd French as the new Varsity Golf Head Coach at Milford High School.

Todd is an avid golfer with a strong history of success both on the course and as a coach. He previously led the Milford Golf program during the 2017 and 2018 seasons, where he coached the Henlopen Conference Golfer of the Year in both years. His passion for the game is matched by his personal achievements, including earning a gold medal at the 2024 Transplant Games of America.

Todd has been a dedicated teacher and coach in the Milford School District since 2010 and currently serves as the Milford High School Varsity Boys Soccer Head Coach. His leadership, experience, and commitment to student-athletes make him an excellent fit to lead the varsity golf program.

Gregory Lockett


Gregory Lockett Named 2025 Delaware Mini Max Award Winner

We are proud to announce that Gregory Lockett has been selected as a 2025 Delaware Mini Max Award winner by the Maxwell Football Club.

Founded in 1935, the Maxwell Football Club is the oldest football organization of its kind in the nation and is known for recognizing excellence not only in athletic performance, but also in academics, leadership, and community service.

Gregory was one of forty-six student-athletes from across Delaware selected for this prestigious honor. Nominees are recommended by their coaches and evaluated based on football performance, academic achievement, and community involvement.

The Maxwell Football Club will also recognize Mini Max Award winners from Pennsylvania and New Jersey. One student-athlete from each state will be named Player of the Year, with those honorees announced at the annual Mini-Maxwell Awards on February 1, 2026, in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. These three players will then be candidates for the Jim Henry Award, which honors the top high school football player in the region.

We congratulate Gregory Lockett on this outstanding achievement and commend him for representing our school with excellence on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.



About the Maxwell Football Club – The Maxwell Football Club was founded in 1935 and is the oldest football organization of its kind in America. The Club recognizes excellence in performance at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels of the game. Morgan’s Message Chapter & MHS Wrestling


Milford High School’s Morgan’s Message Chapter and Milford Wrestling invite you to an evening that’s about so much more than sport! Join us Wednesday, January 7th, for the Wrestling Morgan’s Message Dedication Match vs. Cape Henlopen.

Come support Milford Wrestling and learn about the important work of Morgan’s Message. It will be a special night for a meaningful cause!

Donations will be accepted in cash or check (made out to Milford High School). Proceeds will support future projects and events, as well as contributions to mental health organizations.

Devon Reed – MHS Varsity Baseball Head Coach




Milford High School is excited to announce that Devon Reed has been hired as the new Varsity Baseball Head Coach. Coach Reed returns home to Milford with an impressive playing background and a deep-rooted connection to the Milford community.

Coach Reed is a true Milford success story. He began his baseball journey in the local Little League program and continued through middle school and high school at Milford, the same school he will now lead. During his standout high school career, he earned All-Conference and All-State honors, culminating in his selection in the 20th round of the 2011 MLB Draft by the Miami Marlins.

Following high school, Coach Reed competed for four years at the College of Charleston, where he continued to develop his skills and expand his understanding of the game at the collegiate level.

Coach Reed is passionate about giving back to the program that helped shape his baseball career. He is committed to building a competitive, disciplined, and positive program while developing student-athletes both on and off the field.

We are thrilled to welcome Coach Devon Reed back to Milford and look forward to the future of Milford Baseball under his leadership. Please join us in welcoming Coach Reed back home.

Scott Myers – MHS Varsity Girls Soccer Head Coach



Milford High School is proud to announce that Scott Myers has been hired as the new Varsity Girls Soccer Head Coach.

Coach Myers brings a lifelong connection to the sport, a strong playing background, and 15 years of successful high school coaching experience. Coming from a coaching family, he has been immersed in soccer since birth, developing a deep passion for the game and a strong understanding of its fundamentals.
A graduate of Cape Henlopen High School, Coach Myers served as a team captain and earned All-Conference honors during his senior season in 2003. He continued his playing career at Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania, where he gained valuable collegiate-level experience and further expanded his knowledge of the game.

Throughout his coaching career, Coach Myers has worked extensively with varsity-level student-athletes, helping build competitive, disciplined, and positive program cultures. He also gives back to the sport through his work with Delaware Futbol Academy and by serving on both the DIAA Boys and Girls Soccer Committees. In addition, Coach Myers is a teacher at Milford High School, allowing him to mentor and support student-athletes both academically and athletically.

Coach Myers is committed to developing well-rounded student-athletes through a team-first culture centered on accountability, effort, and character. He values multi-sport participation and believes in long-term player development while fostering pride in the Milford community. He is excited to lead Milford Girls Soccer into its next chapter and looks forward to building a program that competes with confidence and represents Milford with pride and integrity.

We are thrilled to welcome Coach Scott Myers on board at Milford Athletics and look forward to the future of Milford Soccer under his leadership.

DIAA Field Hockey State Tournament Schedule Update


The Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA), in consultation with the DIAA Field Hockey Committee, has announced adjustments to the 2025 DIAA Division I & II Field Hockey State Tournament due to forecasted high winds, significant rain, and thunderstorms expected on Thursday.

To ensure the safety of student-athletes, officials, and spectators, the Division I Quarterfinals have been rescheduled to Saturday, November 1, at 11:00 a.m.

Milford will play Padua on Saturday, November 1, at 11:00 a.m. at Tower Hill School.

Revised Division I Schedule:
• Quarterfinals: Saturday, November 1 — All matches at 11:00 a.m.
• Semifinals: Monday, November 3 — Matches at 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
• Finals: Friday, November 7 — No change

Message from the Milford Athletics



We are excited to introduce Kimberly Seeney as the new Head Coach of the Milford High School Girls Volleyball Team!

Coach Seeney brings a wealth of experience and passion for the game. She previously coached boys' volleyball at Caesar Rodney High School and travel ball with Premier Volleyball Club. In addition to her coaching background, she works as a paraprofessional at Charlton Elementary, where she is dedicated to making a positive impact in students’ lives.

Volleyball has always been an important part of her life, and she is eager to bring her energy and expertise to Milford. Her coaching philosophy centers on helping athletes grow both on and off the court, while building a strong, supportive, and competitive team culture.

Coach Seeney shares:
“I’m passionate about helping athletes grow — not just as players, but as people. I believe in building a strong, supportive team culture and pushing each other to be our best. I can’t wait to get this season started and see what we can accomplish together!”

Message from the Milford Athletics



We are thrilled to announce Coach Haley Pagden as the new Head Coach of Milford High School’s Fall Cheerleading Team!

Coach Pagden is a proud Milford High School alumna and currently serves as a 3rd grade teacher in the Milford School District. Cheerleading has been a lifelong passion of hers, with experience that spans from Pop Warner and All-Star cheer to school programs and coaching at both the middle and high school levels.

She previously served as the Varsity Assistant Cheer Coach from 2019 to 2023 and was the Head Coach at Milford Central Academy. She also brings experience from her role with the DFRC Blue Gold program, demonstrating her commitment to leadership and community involvement.

Coach Pagden is widely recognized for her strong communication skills, her ability to create a supportive and inclusive team environment, and her tireless dedication to student-athletes. She’s known to go above and beyond — whether it’s building routines, encouraging team spirit, or supporting students in and out of the classroom.

“Cheer has always been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’m beyond excited to get this season started!”

We are confident that Coach Pagden will bring positive energy, experience, and a true love for the sport to the Milford Cheer program.

DPH Offers Back-to-School and Sports Physicals at Clinics Across Delaware

 

The Delaware Division of Public Health (DPH) will hold a special Back-to-School and Sports Physical Day at one clinic in each county the first week of August. The event is open to all Delawareans looking for a back-to-school physical or for a physical required to participate in Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) activities. Insurance will be accepted. With or without insurance, the maximum out-of-pocket cost is $20. Appointments are encouraged, as walk-in availability will be limited and wait times may be long. To schedule an appointment, call the appropriate clinic listed below.
